On March 23, 2026, the “Silence is a Crime” forum took part in a Peace Partnership webinar, which addressed the burning issue of health, trauma, and treatment during wartime.
The “Silence is a Crime” forum was represented by clinical psychologist Lior Biran, who presented a critical perspective on the concept of resilience; resilience as an illusion and as a tool for silencing and quieting – how the discourse around “resilience” can sometimes be used to quiet voices and suppress criticism, acting as a tool of control.
The panel, moderated by Ronit Chaimov (Social Workers for Democracy and Peace Partnership), also featured: Dr. Manal Shalabi (Social Workers for Democracy) and Dr. Nissim Avissar (Mizrahi-Civic Collective).
We invite you to watch the full recording of the panel.
